25 days of praise

so I am participating in the 25 days of praise plan! Each week the challenge will be the same - to praise, encourage, inspire, admire, build up, thank and appreciate your husband. But each the challenge will be to show different ways to express your praise. Feel free to tweak it for what you think is best for your husband.

Week 1 starts TODAY! Look for ways to praise your husband verbally. Praise him in front of the kids, friends, family, co-workers, on facebook, tweet it - get praise out anyway you can! Try to mention something noteworthy he has done - in his role as provider, father, husband, lover, or friend.

I have a wonderful husband..today without me asking he did the dishes after dinner, helped Lily put away her toys and put Adriano to sleep so that I could get some rest! He is also working hard at making sure I have everything I need for my trip to Canada. (BTW as part of the challenge I also text him to say thanks, and gave him a kiss and a big thank you for all he did today). He rocks! Check back daily to see how I praised him!

from here

4 boneless pork loin chops, 3/4 inch thick (4 oz each)
4 tablespoons reduced-fat ranch dressing
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1/4 teaspoon dried thyme leaves
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder

1. Heat gas or charcoal grill. Place pork chops in shallow bowl. Pour dressing over both sides of pork chops. Cover and refrigerate 15 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, in small bowl, mix remaining ingredients. Remove pork from marinade; discard marinade.
3. Sprinkle half of seasoning mixture over one side of pork chops. Place pork on grill, seasoned side down. Sprinkle remaining seasoning mixture over pork. Happy Birthday!

Can I tell you how much I love my Storybook Creator Plus! I have created several page prints, calendars and now my sons first birthday card. I love the way it looks! So professional and clean cut! I know the software is an investment but it is so versatile! I LOVE IT!

Mommy of 2

As a mommy it is often a challenge to find time for everything in life. Yet my biggest challenge is carving up enough individual time for each of my children and I. I love spending time alone with each of them and discovering new things with each of them, this is why I did not mind when Adriano wanted to stay up and play or that Lily wanted to help mommy cook when Adriano was taking a nap! It is during these few minutes with each child that I feel truly blessed! Here are a few of the pictures from that adventure!

Halloween Fun

So as part of our Halloween adventures the family went to Del Oso Farms, we picked out a pumpkin, played, and rode the tractor ride. Everyone had a great time, including Adriano.

Pumpkin Fun.
From about the time Lily was 1.5 we have always painted our mini pumpkins. She loves the activity and even requested it this year. We also carve our own family pumpkin. Lily had such a great time with both activities, Adriano was too little to really participate but enjoyed watching!

Pre Halloween Day Fun

On Saturday we went to the Moose Lodge Halloween Party. Lily had a great time. The kids enjoyed yummy goodies and a huanted house :)

Halloween Night

Lily was so excited to be able to go trick or treating! As it is a ritual we go with my dear friend Paula and her daughter Sophie. This year we both added to the bunch by brining along the new additions, Adriano and Logan.

Dance class

Here are a few pictures from Lily's dance class photo shot. Lily had a great time, she was the silliest of all her friends.
