New addition to the family

So we have a new addition to our family, he is so adorable! Ours is the one that is inside the dog food bowl!! Lol, little piggy!!

So as the nights are getting chiller I bought Liliana some cotton Long sleves PJ's and just had to take a picture!! She just looks so adorable!! So I guess its the first true sign that fall is coming!

Saturday Liliana, Sophie, Paula and I went to the park and had a great time. Then we went out to dinner for Paula's birthday! We always have a great time when we are together, and I am still amazed that the girls actually play together!!

Ok so its offically ours!!

The bank finally signed on the house, so we should have the keys by no latter then Nov. 6 2008. We are so excited, before we get the keys the bank is responsible for a putting on a new roof, and fixing the termite damage!! Before we move in we want to paint and replace flooring, so if anyone has some great painting ideas feel free to share!! The house is 1532 square feet and has 3 bedrooms 2 bath a formal living rooom and dining room as well as a family room and eat an eat in area in the kitchen. The master bedroom has his and her sinks. I am soo excited!!

Sunday I met up with Debbie and the kids for a mini playdate. The girls had a great time! Here are just a few pictures.

Pixie Woods

Paula, Jennifer, Aden, Ashton, Liliana, Sophie and I all made a trip out to Pixie Woods on Saturday. The kids had a great time playing on different playgrounds and in the water feature. We also had a great time just watching them and catching up. Here are a few highlights from the day.

Overall this was a very kid friendly place. As mentioned above there where several playgrounds for the children to play in and a water feature. Parents and children could ride the train around the lake or even take a boat ride on the lake. They even have a carousal. If you are looking for a way to entertain the kids for a few hours this is a great recommendation. Prices are reasonable, just do not get ur directions off the Internet.

My Hopes and Dreams For Liliana

A lot of stuff has happened in the past week that has led me to think about what I want for Liliana.
My hope and dreams for you, Liliana are:
That you will find joy and happiness in all she does.
That you will enjoy school, and chose a career that interests you. We will be proud of you no matter what you choose!
That you will love without reservation and be loved.
That you understand why as parents we have made the choices that we have in her best interest.
That life is like a rose full of beauty, yet might have a few thorns amongst it.
That you will appreciate our culture and religion.
That you will grow up to be a strong independent women.
That you always knows how much we love you.
That you are able to confide in us.


I only wish the best for you Liliana and I hope one day to look back on all these things and see that we have achieved them all together!! I love you!!

The circus is also coming to town so we will be going either monday or Tuesday. They have two shows one at 4:30 and the other at 7:00. I am excited because this will be yet another first for Liliana!!

Party Time

Micheal turned 2 today and they had a car themed party. Liliana and Michael had a great time in the bounce house!! Happy Birthday Mikey!! We did not stay for very much of the party because Marco had to come back and go to work, but we had a good time :)

Grandparents Day

Yesterday, was grandparents day and Liliana actually got to spend time with both her grandparents. Avo Tavares was at Michael's party and then when we got home avo and Avo Rocha were still up :) Here are pictures of Liliana and her grandparents. We also remembered Avo Fatima, she is truly missed by all those who knew her and often times I find myself looking at Liliana thinking of her. She has grandma's hair and feet and smile!!

Friday Fun

Friday had worked up to be a normal day until I got home from work. First off my Madrinha came over so we decided to put Liliana in a dress that my madrinha had worn as a child, she looked so cute!! I even got a picture of the two of them together!! Then my Madrinha had brought over a baby carrier that she needed us to look at and Liliana wanted to sit in it, silly girl hated the carrier as a baby. After she left it was still so warm that we decided to put Liliana in a bathing suit and let her go play in the sprinkler. She did not like the spinkler to much, but had so much more fun just playing with the hose, and of course Sophie came to play too!!

Fontes Family Visit!!

Yesterday, we went to go visit the Fontes Family, they took a family vacation to California. It was so nice to get to see them again! Evan is getting so tall and handsome(he just turned 5). My little Goddaughter, Chelsea is so adorable!! She was wearing high heels (aww). She is 6 months older then Liliana and just a doll. We did not get to hang out very long, but got some adorable pictures. It was soo nice to see Beverly and Dale again. I could have sat there and caught up with Beverly for hours, maybe I'll have to plan a special trip out for Chelsea's birthday and do just that :). I'll post pics soon!! We miss you already :) Hope you have a safe trip back :)
Oh yeah and Liliana loved playing with the doggies, looks like we will have to get a little ankle bitter.

A morning at the Coffee Shop

I was sitting at the coffee shop this morning and at the table next to us was several police officers. They were just drinking coffee and chatting. I couldn't help overhear their conversation and laughing. One of the officers was sharing "dumb" moments and I couldn't help but share.
1st: " I was sitting on the street and the speed limit was 55. I caught several speaders going 70 and then I was sitting there with my radar on and watching speeders go by at 64 and 67 and not pulling them over. After about the forth car I finally remember that the speed limit was 55 and not 65.
2nd: I had pulled someone over on a busy street here in town and went back to my normal spot. After sitting there for about 45 minutes I was like, wow they are really going speed limit, then I look down at my chrome bar and realize that I still had my lights on from the last ticket I gave.

I guess that if these stories can make me smile, then it might make someone to smile.

Another ER visit

Yesterday Marco and I were getting ready to run some errands and we received a phone call from Maryann stating that Marco's dad was in the hospital complaining of Chest Pains. Well they determined he was not having a heart attack, yet they could not say what was wrong. So he will be discharged today and hopefully we will have more answers.
He had been complaining of chest pains and even went to the doctor and he said it was his Blood pressure because it was high, he was put on meds, but there has to be something else going on!

Needless to say we got to Handford just as fast as we could and where their until the end of visiting hours. We had taken Liliana with us but she couldn't go into the room, so Marco and I had to take turns spending time with dad. Hopefully the doctors give us answers today

Sunday Fun

Marco, Paula, Sophie, Liliana and I all went to the mall on Sunday. We had a great time. The girls spent time playing in the play area and at Boarders. We read books,played with the Thomas Train Line, and even sang!! It was a great way to let the girls release some of their energy. They were both getting very cranky at home!!
Marco, Liliana and I stayed at the mall to a new carrier for cell phone service. We got new phones for the whole family and Marco and I got our blue tooth headsets. both We are now with AT&T, but do not worry we have the same cell numbers.
