PJ's for the kids!!

The kids wore their holiday Pj's on Christmas day, but I couldn't get a picture of them together, so here are a few pictures of them in their holiday goodies. Thanks Madrinha Leslie!! SO cute!

Gingerbread house

As part of our Christmas tradition we normally decorate a gingerbread house. This year it was latter then normal but it still got done. This year was ton of fun because liliana really got into it. She decorated the house with candy and had a great time! She now points to it and says "my candy house".

Tavares Christmas

We went to Marco's dads house and celebrated with Marco's brothers, their wives and kids. It was nice to get the whole family together. Here are a few pictures:

Three Generations

What I love About You 5 weeks old

I love the way that everyone has a different nickname for you. Daddy calls you little man. Liliana calls you "ninnino" and mommy calls you little guy.

I love the way you seem to follow your sister and play close attention when she is talking to you.

I love the way you open your eyes so wide.. kinda of that deer in the headlights look.


I love the way you hold my finger when your eating.


I love the way you suck on your paci.

I love your little sounds.

I love the way you cuddle when your tired or sleeping.

I love the way you stretch out when your awake.

I love the way that you are so content just lying in your bed staring at the ceiling.

I love the way you love me!

I love the way you kick off your blankets and wiggle your hands and body out of the burrito wrap.

Christmas Eve

We went to parent’s house on Christmas Eve. Lilli had a ton of fun, and Adriano slept through most of it. On Christmas day we went to church and then to my godparents house for dinner. It is truly wonderful to have the whole family together. We are so blessed.

Bathroom Happenings

I know this is a funny title for a post, but we have had a lot happen in this room today. Adriano got to take his first tub bath (up until today I have been giving him sponge baths). Liliana has also independently been asking to use the potty, even though she has yet to use it. We are taking steps in the right directions though!

Baking Day and Santa's Workshop

Today was Baking day at our house. We made Haystacks, Banana bread, Sugar cookies and Apple Pie. While Mommy and Liliana cooked, Daddy was busy in Santa's secret Workshop wrapping presents. Adriano was busy playing in the swing or sleeping!! (Yes, we took breaks to feed him). Here are a few pictures:

I thought this would be a good thing to do to document what the kids do on a daily basis. It will look different in a few weeks when I go back to work, but for now we enjoy the time we are given together. I still want to capture meal time and bed time. She no longer takes naps.
