Big Trees State Park

On Saturday 7/18/2009 we went to Big Trees State park in Arnold. Half the fun was getting up there. We stopped and ate at Cooperopolis Town Square. Then headed up to Big Trees State park and saw 10 big trees and then turned back around and came home. Needless to say, I forgot to take bug spray and they really liked me lol!

Trip to San Fransisco

On Friday 7/17, we went to San Fransisco. I forgot my Camera so Madrinha has all the pictures on here's. We went to Fisherman's Wharf, Pier 39 and Ghirardelli. At the wharf and the pier we did some shopping and had lunch at Bay Crepes. Then we walked to Ghirardelli square and had a Kara's cupcake. We had a good time, and did lots of walking. Madrinha Leslie Comes to Visit

Its been a while since I posted, but that's just because we have had such a fun filled two weeks! My prima Leslie, came to visit us from Canada and we have been having a great time! I was so excited for her to visit that I even went to the airport a day early to pick her up lol!

Visit to Granpa's

This past weekend we were able to go visit Grandpa Tavares. Tio Albano and Tio Joao and his family all came over. The kids (Michael and Liliana) had a gret time playing together. They jumped on tio's bed, played trucks and ran around the house.
The next day we were able to visit with the Azevdo family. The kids once again had a great time playing together, they tumbled, colored and played. No pictures though because mommy forgot her camera :(

I think its the little things in a mommy's life that can make u so happy. Like having no laundry to do, or having your child eat all their dinner. This week I have achieved two blissful mommy moments and I would like to share :) BTW if you missed Oparha's special on motherhood it was amazing, sure brought a smile to my face and made me realize that I am not the only one that feels like that. Here are a few of my favorite confessions from moms. One women confessed that her twins once went three weeks without a bath while another confessed that she has made school lunches out of snacks in the car!

So the other day, I took the rails off of Liliana's toddler bed and I am very happy to announce that in the last 2 days she has slept there and not fallen off! My little girl is so grow up! Expect for maybe her 2 year old tantrums!



Another blissful mommy moment is that I was finally able to figure out a toy organization system that I like. YAY! I have to say I love IKEA and their sturdy storage bin idea. I really wish I would have thought to go their first. I think I have a new favorite store, I fell in love.

4th of July Weekend

This year we were able to go to half moon bay for the 4th. We watched the local parade there and then had lunch. After lunch we were going to go to the state beach, but they were so crowded. So we decided to take a drive to Santa Cruz. Liliana and I spent some time in the water, we had a great time. Then it was back to HMB for the fireworks show! What a great day!! There are no pictures of us at the beach, because parked a mile away and only realized we left the camera in the truck once we got to the beach, but here are a few of us at the fireworks show:). WE had a great view!

Water Fun

Happy Anniversary :)

My honey and I have been Married 5 years today, July 3. We went out to eat at Famous Dave's' BBQ (ate out of a trash can) romantic hu! It was nice to just get to spend the afternoon with each other! To many years to come! To find out more about famous Dave's Click here

Just a little Note

Just wanted to share that parenting is not esay, but it seems that when they cuddle up to you it makes the whole world better! I love you Liliana and little one!
