To the Airport :(

On July 31, 2008 we took Prima and Primo back to the Oakland Airport. We had a great two weeks and hopefully, Prima will return next year!! Here are some pictures taken on the way to the airport:

Liliana fell asleep as we were gettting to the airport, she managed to sleep for awhile on daddy's shoulder though

One Last Day

For the last day we just stayed around the house, it appeared that everyone had a great time with Liliana. Here are a few pictures:

Monday Night

Of course no vacation is complete without family pictures. Here are a few of my favorites:

As you can tell nobody was really dressed for the occasion.
After pictures my brother took my cousin and I out. Here is my favorite picture of the 2 of them:

A sunday for Just us Girls

On Sunday, Liliana, Lesley, and I went to San Jose. We started our day at the Winchester mystery house. The Victorian house was owned by Sara Winchester the wife the gun Manufacturer and she thought that the spirits that were killed by the Winchester Rifle were haunting her and that she must keep building on to her house. The house has doors to nowhere, doors to walls, and the number 13 depicted everywhere. It wasn't quite what I was expecting, our tour guide wasn't the best though. I didn't take pictures of the inside, because I had Liliana. . It was quite an adventure to say the least, I even had to change her on the tour floor ( don't worry I had a changing pad).
Here is the outside of the house

The outdoor garden area was filled with many foutains, such as this

From the Mansion we went to Santana Row, which is upscale outdoor shopping mall. I did some shopping at H&M one of Prima's favorite stores and now I think I am addicted!!

We had lunch at Pasta Promodoro. They had good food but crappy service.

No Vacation is complete without a festa or 2

On Saturday we went to the Newark Bole De Leite. A Bole de Leite is a traditional event in the Portugese culture. In English it is most commonly known as a cow parade, because as part of the Parade there are cows pulling carts with traditional Portugese items. Liliana really enjoyed the animals, she kept pointing at them. Here are some pictures:

I love this picture

From here we went to visit some family friends and then latter went to another festa in Oakdale. We weren't much into the dancing scene so we spent our time and money at the Bazzar. The Bazzar is a game of luck, you choose some rolled up tickets and if those tickets have a number then you when the corresponding prize. By the time we were done with the Bazzar we had won a set of drinking glasses, a teddy bear, a cork board, a cutting board, a bratz doll, and a vase.

Movie Time

Friday night after work prima and I went to see Momma Mia. I had no idea what to expect.I hadn't been to the movies since Marco and I saw Night at the Museum with our friends Mike and Denice!! I was however pleasantly surprised. Yet the best part of the movie was at the end when the guys came to clean the theater and we were the only 2 in there and being girls were very gigglish and I think they thought something was going on. The looks on the faces of the two men were priceless. It was also good to relax and get to spend time with my prima, to bad we can't due it more often!!

San Fransisco Again

We headed back to San Fransisco. This time it was just Marco, my prima and I. We went to Golden Gate Park, The Golden Gate Bridge, Ghirdell Square and Fishermans Warf.
Shakespears Garden

From Golden Gate PArk we went to The Golden Gate Bridge.

From Golden Gate Bridge we got on the bus to the palace of fine arts and the Explortarum. We were going to go into the exploratorum, but we decided it would take to much time.

Marco and I on the bus on the way to Ghirardelli Square. We caught the bus at the first stop but it was very full and I had to sit next to some lady that had to wait 5 hours in line for the new apple phone, I was dying to get off the bus!!
