Going out with a bang!

Thanks to Melanie and Kevin for inviting us over for new years we had a great time! We chatted, meet new people, and played Wii and dealt with very cranky kids lol! It was midnight before we knew it thanks again! Liliana stayed up and rang the new year with all of us, it was a little harder to put her to sleep then usually but she is taking her nap now and should be on schedule for tonight :) Here are a few pictures from the evening.

A look back at 2008 and a look ahead at 2009

Happy New Year Everyone!
I thought it would be fun to look back in 2008 and look ahead in to 2009:

Good things that happend in 2008:
Marco and I both started new jobs with better pay and benifts.
We purchased a home that we LOVE.
The whole family made a trip to Idaho and Half moon Bay to visit Marco's side of the family and old friends!
We went on vacation to Southern California and Prima Leslie and Primo Gil came for a visit from Canada.
Liliana turned a year old.
Michael turned 2 years old.
Payed off unneccesary cridet card debit.
An election of a new president(even though I may not agree with it).
We got to spend countless hours with friends, family and loved ones!
2 weddings and 2 new babies in the family.

The not so good:
Car accident
Broken Legs
Layoffs
The down turn in our economy.

A look ahead at 2009:
A visit from Prima Leslie?!?!
Take advantage of our free trip to vegas and Hawiai.
More finacial stability
More countless get togethers with family and friends.
A trip to Idaho.
Countless memories made with Liliana.
A turn around in our enconmy

1. Not to Drink Soda
2. To lose the last 20 pounds.
3. To try and cook a new recipe a week.
4. Organize the pictures of Lili into an album or book of sorts!

Putting a smile on my face

After taking my dad to the doctor last night, we went to my parents house to eat. I was a little soar from the accident and my brother offered to feed Liliana this was the result of the evening. (Liliana sure knew how to put a smile on Mommy's face). She also got a piggy back ride from padrinho and got to use avos walker, silly girl!

I am Greatful

Today I got in a car accident, yet I have a lot to be thankful for. I was driving to my parents house to go with my dad to the doctor when i got in the accident. It was not my fault. I was stopped (as their was on coming traffic) getting ready to make a left hand turn when the lady hit me from behind. I am grateful that I was driving the truck and that it had a hitch on it! I am grateful that no one was injured. I am also very thankful that Liliana wasn't in the car with me. I had just dropped her off at my madrinha's house so that I could go to the doctors appointment with my dad. The rear bumper and bed of the truck have a little damage but nothing to serious. I am fine my wrist is a little soar, and my neck is a little stiff but it I should be fine in a few days :(

Last night we had Paula, Sophie and Nathan over for dinner. It was fun to finally get to met Nathan. It was also good to get the girls together and let them play for a while. While the girls played we just sat around and talked. We had a great time.

A special Package

Yesterday, we received a special package from Canada. Thank you Leslie and primos for everything.We are so thankful! Liliana loved all her stuffed animals! I loved all the ornaments! The clothes were all adorable and fit well! Thanks again Here are pics of Liliana opening the gifts:

My godparents cooked dinner and brought it to my moms house so that we could all be together. We had a good time yet again! Here are a few pictures:
