Liliana is a year and a half

Liliana turned a 1.5 yesterday. It is hard to believe but true! She is such a cutie! She is learning so much latley. She espically loves to dance and mimic all that we do and say!! Here is a picture of her yesterday:

The ramblings of my life

A lot has happened and I feel the need to write about it ALL!!
As many of my readers may or may not know I have found a new job working with children with Autism and love every moment of my day with them!! I am especially grateful that the school is so near to my house. I also have enrolled in school to obtain my Special Education Credential and Masters in Special Education. I am currently taking 2 one month courses and pulling my hair out.
I am also extremely stressed out because we have recently purchased a wonderful home, but have yet to move in. The painting has been completed, we have organized the kitchen, but the carpet and tile still need to be installed. I was also going to try to save the current baseboards, but we now have to wait to install the baseboards so it will delay our move. We were supposed to move in today after the carpet was installed. It’s just so frustrating that there seems to have been a lack in communication. Marco will be starting a new job on Wednesday. The hours are much better he will work M-F 8-5 and be on call 1 day a week and one weekend a month. He will be doing dairy service work in the San Joaquin Valley. The company will provide him a vehicle. While I am excited that he will be doing something he enjoys and the hours. It is yet another change that I am not sure that is occurring in our lives.

San Fransisco

We invited Melanie and Kevin to go to San Fransisco with us about 2 weeks ago and we decided that this weekend would work best, except for the fact that it rained the whole time we were there and we were stuck at the mall the whole day. We still managed to have a good time. Except for the fact that Kevins phone got stolen. Here
I think its time for a booster seat

I tried to catch a full length view of her coat

Halloween

Liliana had a great time trick or treating yesterday. We went with our friends Sophie and Paula around the block. I was so proud of Liliana, she walked the whole block. She even held her pumpkin basket most of the way, and when she wasn't holding it she would get it from me and go up to the door. I would say trick or treat and she would hold up the basket. Some of the houses in our neighborhood were decorated for Halloween but she was not scared at all, she actually enjoyed it, silly girl!! I have to say she was the cutest cheerleader ever. And when we got home she just played with her bowl of candy taking all the candy out and putting it back in. She also enjoyed holding grandma's candy bowl so that she could pass out candy to all the trick or treaters
Liliana and her friend Liliana. Both girls were cheerleaders this year!!

More fun with pumpkins

So the other day we carved pumpkins at school with our kids and so I thought since they had a lot of fun with it that I would try it at home with Liliana. We have yet to carve the jack-o-lantern but we have cleaned out the pumpkin and its ready for carving. We shall create a jack-o-lantern on Thursday. Liliana wasn't to sure about touching the inside of the pumpkin, but by the end though she was ready for more. It was so cute because at the beginning of the project she would pretend to fling the seeds into the plate, such a cutie!!

Tavares Family Get together

So Saturday after the festa we drove down to my father in laws. Both Marco's brothers met us at dad's house and we got to hang out for a few hours together. It was actually rather nice to be able to spend time with his family. Marco and his brothers spent time just chating and I got to spend some quality time with my father in law and my nephew. Michael and Liliana were both so funny, every time one of them got close to grandpa the other would get upset, and run towards him. They are both so cute, Michael has grown so much since we last saw him! Here are a few pictures of the grandkids with grandpa:
