Writing out my frustration

Dad came home from the hospital at 4:00 Pm yesterday, only to have to turn around and go back to Modesto (30 minute car ride) to see a specialist, so what exactly was the point of him coming home? It would have been better for him to stay the night at the hospital and be seen by the specialist and then released from the hospital. Now we have to assist him down from the entry steps of the house into the car, where is his leg will not be elevated for a period of 30 minutes then assist him out of the car into the office. I have been taking care of his dressings and know that his blisters have not held so this pre op appointment is pointless and I am so freaking upset, because he voiced his opinion about not wanting to go, I hope they make this appointment worth it!
