Potty Training!

We are working on getting fully potty trained. Lilly has had a few accidents but overall I must say I am pleased. I took her to the store and asked her to pick out her own underwear as I had done 100x already and then I took her to the diapers and let her choose between undies and pullups she choose undies. We went home and I asked her which she would like to wear..for the first week I took her to the bathroom every 20 minutes. She still dosen't have a BM in the toliet but we will get there :)

Luso Update

A few of you have been asking if I found the shirt..lucky enough I did..What do you think? I think they are close enough

Hilmar Cheese Factory

Yesterday I took Lily to the Hilmar cheese plant for a tour. While I was disappointed with the tour myself lily seemed to have a great time. She was able to hang out with Catarina and Debbie's kids. After the tour we went to McDonald's and before I took the opportunity to take some wonderful picture

San Fransisco

Since Marco and I have birthdays close together we decided to celebrate yesterday with a day trip to San Fransisco...we took the Bart to Embarcadero and enjoyed lunch at the Crab House. The weather was nice. Marco and the kids got Ice Cream and I had Coffee bean and Tea Leaf! It is amazing! It is much smoother then Starbucks and they make an awesome non decaffeinated orange sunrise! YUM!

What I love about you!

Adriano is 8 months old today and absolutely adorable! He has three teeth 2 bottom and one top. He is truly a wonderful baby.

* I love to hear you giggle.
* I love to watch you sleep, even if you are a tummy sleeper.
* I love the way you can entertain yourself in the crib in the morning.
* I love the way you kick and giggle in excitement when you hear the bath water running.
* I love to watch you roll.
* I love to watch you sit up and play with toys. (you sit so much longer and straighter now).
* I love the way that when you try to crawl it turns into a roll.
* I love that amongst all your toys you enjoy to play with mommies cell phone and paper.
* I love to watch you interact with people flashing them big smiles.
* I love to watch you and sissy play.
* I love the way you look sitting in your high chair.
* I love the way that when the wind blows you make a face and noise in disgust!

Dianna's baptism

Today was my cousin Dianna's baptism. She is Marco's first Goddaughter. We are very blessed to take on such an important role and guide her in the right direction. We look forward to celebrating her baptism early. My god bless Dianna and her family today and always. She did such a great job during Church, and did not cry and then through much of the celebrations Diana slept :)She looked beautiful.

Luso

So for Luso I need a shirt similar to the one below. Due to the fact that they do not carry it in Lily's size and she is the only little girl, I am left to find something on my own.. let me know if you see anything similar to this and where i can find it!

The Husband Project

I have started reading The Husband project by Kathi Lipp. She is the wife of a pastor and therefore this book has religious connotations but I am very excited to start this 21 day adventure. The Husband project is filled with a variety of activities to make your husband feel special. Week 1 is as follows:

Project 1: Create some Free time when he gets home.

This one is interesting for our situation, my husband works a roating schedule so the transitional period will look different depending upon what shift he is on. For today's transition it will be simple, the kids are sleeping and I will ask him what his day was like and allow him to roam free. This will become increasingly difficult depending upon his schedule. I will need to learn not to overwhelm him with my own stress( at least for 30 minutes)

Project 2: Do something he enjoyed before you got married. Here is a list of activities he enjoyed pre baby days....
1. Going to festas and dancing
2. Going to the movies
3. Going to the beach
4. Playing pool
5. Going to bullfights
I have an idea for this one, just have to check with our babysitter.

Project 3: Gossip Share with someone something ur husband did that was good (simple enough)

Project 4: Heart Vs Stomach:Get a simple treat for the hubby (mission a bag of recess peanut butter cups)

Project 4: E flirt: Text something sweet!

Look for daily updates on my progress!

Manteca Festa

Sunday, we went to the Manteca festa. In the morning it was just Lily, Andre, and I. We marched, Lily was a little cranky on the way there, she did much better after she saw the church. We ate sopas with Debbie and her mom! Then on the way back Lily had Brandon to help her and once again she did much better after seeing the hall. Latter that evening we went back and had dinner and enjoy Sem Devdues really loud music. Adriano had a blast the picture of him and I was taken as a reaction to hearing the music. Adriano, Marco and I enjoyed a few dances. I tried getting lily to dance with her dad but she would rather dance with her friends lol!

Adriano in the food world

Adriano finally sat in his high chair on 7/5. He loved it especially after mommy found the toys that go with it! He loves most food and if he doesn't you will know because he will spit it out at you lol! He also makes this funny face when you give him the first bite of something, even if it is something he has had before. His favorite food item right now is apples and blueberries. He dose not really like chicken anything or anything with cereal! He also had his first drink out of his sippy. He drinks better from a straw, and needs the stopper removed from the sippy to successfully get a drink. He also has been eating puffs cereal. He has a hard time picking it up himself but loves to let them melt in his mouth. I also have given him a bitter biscuit from Gerber, he likes those too but unlike his sissy who would just let it melt in his mouth he wants to take bites and they are rather messy!

4th of July

Today is Sunday the 4th of July. Marco, Lily, Adriano, and I marched in Santa Cruz. The queens did not join us. Getting there was an adventure to say the least. I had forgotten to pack jackets for the kids so we had to stop and by some. Then Lily got sick a few times before arriving in Santa Cruz. Once we arrived we had hard time finding the location. The parade route was interesting to say the least. We stopped at INO to get a bite to eat and headed home. Marco then went to bed and I hung out wit the kids! No firworks for us, but a late night!

CalDeltaMommies Playdate

Our kids had such a great time. Jennifer and I drove together to a park in north stockton and meet one of our CalDeltaMommies Christina, her husband, and daughter Rachel. It was fun, the park had a water feature and some great play equipment. Addriano enjoyed the outing as well. After Jen and her boys and I and the kids had lunch at Round Table.

Just in case ur wondering yes, today was our anniversary as well. We did not do much as a family except go out to dinner, Marco is working the night shift and so he had to get his sleep. It was nice to spend time as a family and remeber our special day. IT is hard to believe that it has been six years already! My how time flies!
